A few months back, we presented a list of opportunities for emerging screenwriters. Now that some time has passed, we felt that this list was due for an update.

These creators from all across the Film Tok spectrum, have taught me so much about what it’s like to come into the industry as someone without connections and wealthy parents. These successful women are all self-made and so giving with their time and experiences.

There are tons of courses a person can take to learn more about producing and directing, whether that be for short form projects like music videos or comedy skits, or for longer length content such as TV shows or films. If you are looking for resources on how to get started in this space, we’ve got you! 

These programs accept writers who are inexperienced and give them a chance to work in the development stage of a series or film. While this list does not include every fellowship/mentorship program available for screenwriters right now, it includes those whose application windows are currently open or will open within this year.
